Guidelines for elections
Election terms for the leadership team are 12 months. If an emergency election is required to replace an officer, then the term for the newly elected officer will cover the remainder of the term plus 12 months.
The President can only serve for 12 months in that position unless they took office via an emergency election. After a full term the president may take a different office other than President and must remain away from the office of President for at least 12 months.
January elections cover the positions of Vice-President and Secretary while July elections cover the President, Membership committee chairman and Treasurer. If there is a tie in the general membership voting the current Leadership Team votes again to resolve the tie.
Any member running for office must have been a member for at least 6 months by the time they take office in order to qualify. Each candidate must have a satisfactory attendance record. Officers are entitled to have their membership fees waved while in office, but are still required to pay the monthly dues. North Georgia Referral Network officers are expected to provide leadership by example.
